Please describe the patient positioning for an inner thigh lift (incision) to knee for during both the markup pre surgery and during surgery. It seems that I will be spread eagle for the surgery with my legs on the spreader bars. Where will the surgeon stand? Will I also be spread eagle when he marks me up? I am asking because I am kind of shy with my body and this seems like I will be very exposed.
Answer: Thigh lift thigh reduction vertical thigh lift medial thigh lift spiral thigh lift groin thigh lift thigh lipo Thank you for your question regarding a thigh lift. What is the patient positioning markup, and what is the patient positioning during surgery? Every plastic surgeon is different and has different marking techniques. Every plastic surgeon has different positions where they place the patient for their ideal thigh reduction procedures. The most common way to mark patients is in a standing position. Patients stand up, and a surgical marker is used to outline the anatomy of the inner thigh. Typically a large elliptical area is marked on the inner thigh. The anatomic structures, including tendon insertions and essential arteries and veins, are also marked This sizeable elliptical area of skin and fat extends from the groin to the knee. Liposuction is usually performed within the borders. Then the intervening excess skin and fat are directly removed. Your position in surgery is usually on your back with your legs spread and your knees bent. This is often called a frog leg position. Your surgeon typically stands outside your thigh and leans over to repair your inner thigh. The minority of surgeons put your legs in stirrups. If the legs are placed in stirrups like an OB-GYN, the surgeon stands between your legs and sutures. The difficulty here is that it does not give as good a result as if you were in a frog leg position. I hope this helps to answer your question regarding a thigh lift. What is the patient positioning markup, and what is the patient positioning during surgery. I specialize in thigh lifts. I hope that I have answered your questions regarding the thigh reduction. Answer: Privacy is Important
Typically, you are marked standing in a private preoperative area. In the operating room you are positioned on your back and your legs are positioned apart. Only the areas that need to be exposed are usually exposed.

Answer: In a Medial Thigh Lift What is the Patient Positioning for Markup and Surgery?
I perform dozens of thigh lifts each year. It only takes a moment (20 seconds) to mark the inner thigh incision lines in standing position. Everything else can be done during the surgery. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of body contouring procedures each year. Look at website before and after photos and decide which surgeon can give the results you desire. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA

Answer: In a Medial Thigh Lift What is the Patient Positioning for Markup and Surgery? During a medial thigh lift procedure, patient positioning for markup and surgery typically involves the following steps:1. Patient Preparation: The patient is positioned in a supine (lying on their back) or semi-sitting position, depending on the surgeon’s preference and the extent of the procedure.2. Marking: The surgeon will first mark the areas of the thigh that will be addressed during the surgery. This typically involves drawing lines and markings on the patient’s inner thighs to outline the areas where excess skin and tissue will be removed.3. Sterile Field: The surgical team will create a sterile field around the marked areas to minimize the risk of infection during the procedure.4. Anesthesia: The patient is typically placed under general anesthesia to ensure they are comfortable and pain-free throughout the surgery.5. Incisions: The surgeon will make incisions along the previously marked areas. The length and location of these incisions can vary depending on the patient’s specific needs and the extent of the thigh lift.6. Tissue Removal: Excess skin and tissue are removed, and the remaining tissue is repositioned and sutured into place. This helps to create a more toned and youthful appearance for the thighs.7. Closing Incisions: Once the necessary adjustments have been made, the incisions are closed with sutures or other closure methods.8. Dressing and Compression Garments: Dressings and compression garments are applied to the surgical site to help minimize swelling and provide support during the initial stages of healing. It’s important to note that the specific details of the procedure may vary based on the patient’s individual anatomy and the surgeon’s technique. Patients should consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss their unique needs and to receive a treatment plan.
