Will sitting/ putting pressure on back of thighs after BBL decrease blood supply to butt?

I had to drive son to school . My doctor said ok to drive at 2 weeks. I used a foam Roller so I wouldn't put pressure on butt , but still felt foot go tingly after awhile . I made sure to shift weight on roller. Is butt blood supply affected by leg blood supply? Thanks!

You are following the correct protocol and have your plastic surgeon's approval to drive your son to school.  The foam roller will take pressure off the buttocks and place it on the thighs for the short drive. After the initial resorption phase, the fat obtains its blood supply and is living tissue.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Hello and thank you for your question. You can't help putting a bit of pressure back there - but something like a short drive to your child's school shouldn't affect your results. We mostly sit on the lower portions of the buttock and thigh and these regions aren't grafted to near the degree the mid and upper  buttock are. Do try and avoid to much long spells of pressure on the grafted region though, as the microvascular supply can diminish - much to the same as avoiding smoking and nicotine.  You are correctly following your plastic surgeon's protocol and shifting your weight every so often. You will be fine, keep at it!

Short periods of sitting will not affect the blood supply, especially if you sift positions every few minutes.
