My veneers like too opaque, so different than the temporary ones that actually did match my other teeth. But now that the permenant veneers are in I have a dilemma about my eyeteeth and remaining teeth. The doctor never told me that it would be such a huge difference, what would you suggest I do now? And how o the look?

Answer: Porcelain veneers don't match, to opaque. I would speak with your dentist and tell him your concerns, that you were happy with the temporary veneers and that the permanent veneers are too opaque and do not match with the rest of your teeth. There are teo solutions to the problem. 1). Remove the veneers and replace them with a more translucent veneer that matches your teeth. 2). If you like the whiter color, but do not like the opacity, remove the 4 veneers and replace them and add 4 additional veneers, two on each side. This will give you a whiter, more natural smile, The veneers should be able to be made with less opacity, but enough to mask out your dark teeth underneath. If you decide to go this way, I would have your dentist remove the 4 existing veneers and remake them in the correct shade and translucency/opacity. You should then have them tried in to confirm that you like the color. You can then proceed to have the additional 4 veneers fabricated to match. Send the new 4 veneers back to the lab so you insure a perfect color match with the new 4 veneers. Then all 8 veneers should be delivered at the same time. When you are finished with treatment, all of your upper teeth should be the same color. This will make your smile much more natural looking, and give you self-confidence when you smile.

Answer: Veneers I will typically recommend 6-8 veneers for this reason. If a patient only wants veneers on the front four teeth, I will send them to the lab to have a custom shade done. Try whitening your natural teeth and see if they'll blend better. Otherwise, you might consider veneers at least on your canines to match the front teeth better.
