Hi, I am looking to have treatment on my teeth to straighten them. I have been advised to take impressions of my teeth prior to receiving orthodontic treatment (clear aligners), using an impressions kit containing dental putty. However, my two front top teeth are veneers. If I use the dental putty is it safe to use on my veneers? Or will it damage them, and could risk them falling out?

I agree with the other doctor that there are a lot of possibilities for this. If the veneer is chipped you would want it replaced as soon as you can.
You might be able to try them on without anesthesia, but it depends on how sensitive your teeth are. If anesthesia is used the veneers can be cemented with temporary cement.
