Bald scar area may restored with HT. You may have  a hair transplant surgery from healthy scalp skin follicular units to that area to cover  the defect.

Thanks for your question. In general sebaceous cysts will not cause you to lose hair in the area. People may lose a small amount in the area after removal but should be contained only to the area of scar tissue from the excision. I would recommend you see a dermatologist for evaluation of your alopecia as this wouldn’t be a typical response but there are numerous other causes that this could be attributed to. Good luck.

It is not unusual for some hair loss around an excision for something like a sebaceous cyst; however, what you have here seems more than I would expect. This may be the way you healed and developed a wide expanding scar. It might take 8 months to know if this is permanent.
