Hello quinebee,I’m sorry for the adverse symptoms you are experiencing. Eight weeks is too short of a time to evaluate your Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) final outcome. Maximum results will take up to 6 months to show. Swelling and tightness are common, temporary side effects after BBL surgery. However, you will see significant improvement in the way your body feels and looks in the following weeks. I typically recommend my patients wearing specialized compression garments around the clock for 6 months and getting at least ten lymphatic drainage massage sessions in order to completely alleviate the swelling and discomfort. In my experience, manual lymphatic massages by their own have proven successful, in the majority of cases, in achieving uniform removal of swelling and ensuring smooth contours after liposuction. I would suggest you waiting at least 2-3 weeks for the swelling to recede and evaluate the results. If you are still dissatisfied with the outcome after this time, consult with your aesthetic plastic surgeon about your concerns and improvements’ options. Best wishes! Dr. De La Cruz.
Brazilian Butt Lift recovery time is dependent on how the patient’s body reacts to the procedure. Patients usually return to work after a week but you should not sit without the use of cushions for at least two weeks and you must wear a compression garment for several weeks after the procedure. You should wait until at least 2 weeks after the procedure to engage in sexual activity. Swelling and discomfort normally fades at six weeks. After about a month you will be mostly healed and you can get a nice idea of the permanent results after around six months.
Complete resolution of swelling and tightness may take 6 months to a year. Lumps after Brazilian buttlift could represent fat necrosis. Hard lumps will probably resolve over a period of time. If they become painful, follow up with your PS.
Different recovery protocols are present for different patients. On average patients may recover from tightness and lumps as early as 4-6 weeks and as late as 8-16 weeks; meaning your recovery depends on the amount of fat removed from liposuction, the areas liposuctioned, and the amount of fat transferred to your buttock.
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation and tightness are normal. If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
Thanks for your question. Yes, a tummy tuck and a BBL (which includes 360 lipo) can be done at the same time. However, keep in mind that having them done separately allows for more predictability of the result. Furthermore, the recovery is more difficult when procedures are combined. The patient...
In my opinion it is unlikely that liposuction with fat transfer such as a BBL will cause any significant worsening of your shingles or secondary herpes Symplex outbreaks. Do you have a better understanding of this I would suggest talking to a neurologist or infectious disease specialist. ...
Hi and welcome to our forum!Any implant placed within the body is at slight risk of infection form bacterial seeding as the result of a subsequent surgical procedure (or even the result of brushing one's teeth). This risk is quite small. We recommend prophylactic antibiotics...
