Hello quinebee, I’m sorry for the adverse symptoms you are experiencing. Eight weeks is too short of a time to evaluate your Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) final outcome. Maximum results will take up to 6 months to show. Swelling and tightness are common, temporary side effects after BBL surgery. However, you will see significant improvement in the way your body feels and looks in the following weeks. I typically recommend my patients wearing specialized compression garments around the clock for 6 months and getting at least ten lymphatic drainage massage sessions in order to completely alleviate the swelling and discomfort. In my experience, manual lymphatic massages by their own have proven successful, in the majority of cases, in achieving uniform removal of swelling and ensuring smooth contours after liposuction. I would suggest you waiting at least 2-3 weeks for the swelling to recede and evaluate the results. If you are still dissatisfied with the outcome after this time, consult with your aesthetic plastic surgeon about your concerns and improvements’ options. Best wishes! Dr. De La Cruz.
