Hi, I'm exactly 6 months post op and am pleased with the results so far. My only concern is that after I shower in the morning my hair takes forever to air dry. Is it really ok to rub my head with a towel? I heard someone say it can damage the new hair if you rub very hard with a towel everyday. The last thing I want is my new hair to go sparse

No not at all. Fine hair can have densities as much as coarse hair. However it does play a factor in the planning of the transplant. Go see a hair specialists to receive an in person evaluation.
It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen. Some doctors advocate washing your hair staring the day after surgery.
A hair transplant is not about how many grafts you need but understanding your goals and expectations. 2000 grafts may be enough for some but may not be enough for you if your expectations are different. The results also depend on your hair color to skin color contrast, hair texture, hair style,...
