It's been one week since I had the procedure and I'm wondering if I can use a tanning bed, or will this mess with the treatment/recovery.
Answer: Can a tanning bed be used after CoolSculpting? While using a tanning bed can damage the skin, it should not affect the results of a CoolSculpting procedure. You should also be aware that you may have some temporary numbness of the area that was treated, so it would be possible to burn your skin without knowing if you tan too long.

Answer: If you are set on using a tanning bed, don’t worry about it affecting your CoolSculpting treatment. While use of a tanning bed will not affect your CoolSculpting results, it can lead to premature aging and skin damage as well as heighten your risk of skin cancer. If you are set on using a tanning bed, don’t worry about it affecting your CoolSculpting treatment or recovery, but I would highly recommend use of a self-tanner or spray tan instead.

Answer: Tanning after Coolsculpting Tanning after a Coolsculpting treatment will not affect your results from the treatment. However, as a plastic surgeon who removes skin cancer daily, I have to recommend that you do not tan at all. If you want to maintain your tan there are many high quality spray tan options on the market.
