Thank you for your question. Every surgeon will have his/her own preferences as to recovery for specific procedures. Patients can return to light activities almost immediately after surgery, normal activities 2 weeks after surgery, and vigorous exercise 4 weeks after surgery. We usually experience a slow steady improvement for 3 months or so after surgery.
Thank you for your question! For my patients having a BBL procedure, I recommend they take 3 weeks off of cardio at the gym, and 6 weeks off of weight training and yoga exercises. At 8 weeks post op, there are no exercise restrictions, and it is ok to do squats and sit ups. I recommend discussing specific post op instructions with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
at 8 weeks post op after Brazilian butt lift you can at this point resume strenuous activities. Begin slowly and work your way up to your normal regimen. Let your body tell you what you should or shouldn't be doing in terms of discomfort. I would recommend you continue to wear a supportive elastic exercise garment during your activities. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Hello thank you for your great question. I think it's fantastic that you are eager to return to your fitness routine, as keeping in shape will maintain your results looking great. You may return to the gym after about 45 days, but avoid seated exercises, like rowing and cycling, altogether for 90 days, as your fat grafts are still taking "root". Lateral lunges, squats, sumo squats, step ups, dead lifts, single leg dead lifts, and reverse lunges will maintain the area nicely. You can begin by doing high reps no weight, then gradually incorporate weights as you decrease reps. Your abdomen will get a work out, especially from the step ups without the need for getting down on the floor or laying on your behind. Good luck!
Tisha,You must first ask your surgeon for their advice.I allow my patients to resume gym workouts after 4 weeks.Best of luck with your continued recovery.Dr T
