It may be just a temporary condition due to more extensive scarring. However if this pain and numbness prolongs nerve entrapment due to scarring should be entertained. Continue visits to your surgeon and follow the recovery protocol very closely. Local injection of anesthetic to confirm possible nerve entrapment followed by corticosteroid shut(s) may be needed. The pins and needles you've been experiencing need to be discussed with your surgeon. This could be a result of nerve involvement due to the issues you experienced. Your surgeon should follow your progress.

The pins and needles sensation could be from damaging a small sensory nerve that goes to the thigh. It is not completely cut, but could be bruised and will heal. The sensation in your hands is not from the tummy tuck.
