CoolSculpting burn mark? What can I do? Is this even normal? (photo)

Just based on you picture, I would say that mark on your inner thigh after CoolSculpting is not a burn.  It appears to be hyper pigmentation and this is not something that I have seen in treating my patients.  Hyper pigmentation can develop after inflammation to the skin, and this is most likely what occurred in your case.  I would contact the physician who treated you so that you can be examined.  There are some available treatments that can help this condition to resolve sooner rather than later.  

I would have to look at the area in person.  A photo is not sufficient.  I would recommend contacting the facility where you had the procedure done and discuss this with them.

It appears to by hyperpigmentation from Coolsculpting which can happen with the leg applicators.  It will go away but you should avoid the sun and leave the area covered.  Please consult an expert in Coolsculpting for the best cosmetic results.  Best, Dr. Green

In very rare cases, some patients experience either blanching (lightening) of the skin, or darkening of the skin in the area treated. While I have not seen any cases of this at my office to date, it the tissue should return to normal on its own. I have heard that it is not wise to try to "bleach" the area; in cases where patients have tried to lighten the area, and then the tissue goes back to normal, then they are lighter in the area than when they started. I would seek out the physician where you received your treatment for follow up care. Best of luck!
