I have plantar hyperhidrosis. Need help. How much would Botox cost?

Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport all work very well for hyperhidrosis and the cost will vary depending on the practice.  They last from 3 to 6 months. It can be life changing, but they need to be repeated to maintain their effect.

Thank you for your question. Yes, Botox is good in treating hyperhidrosis of the feet however, the procedure can be very painful. When Botox is used in the feet it needs to be extremely diluted and I do not recommend more than 50 units per foot. The price of this procedure will depend on the area and expertise of the injector. Botox can be life changing for those suffering from excessive sweating of the feet, hands, armpits and head. Helping people with this problem is a very rewarding part of our practice.
The cost will depend on dose and frequency of the treatment you require. Many extended health benefit plans will cover a portion or all of the cost of the botox used in treatments like this, and some plans will even pay the doctor injection fee.
I recommend you start by finding an experienced physician; one way to do this is to inquire with your health plan regarding coverage.
You will need between 50 and 100 units per foot every 3 to 6 months. Larger doses last longer, and regular dosing will require less frequent treatments.
If your first treatment has inadequate response, try at least 1 or 2 more treatments in close succession before giving up. It isn't unusual for long time heavy sweaters to need this to get things under control.
We charge an injection fee of $250.00 (Canadian) for those who provide their own botox. Purchasing directly from our clinic will often provide a cost savings. Botox cost varies from province or state, so be sure to check the price with your injector at the time of consultation.

Botox works well for hyperhydrosis of the axilla, palms and feet. It usually last about 6 months. Most insurance companies will pay to have this done so your cost will just be your deductable. The key is to find an experienced physician who will get prior authorization from your insurance company.

Botox is very useful in treating sweaty feet, however most doctors stay away from it because the procedure is extremely painful even when it is used with numbing creams. When used in the feet Botox has to be extremely diluted and no more than 35 to 50 units of Botox should be used per foot . The Physician must be an expert in administering Botox in the feet. The price of Botox depends on the area in the world where you reside and treatment is being administered. Good luck from New York City
