Is it normal to have a heavy chest after implants?

The feeling if heaviness after augmentation is completely normal. There is no treatment needed. You will become accustom to the weight and will adjust. 

When someone has chest heaviness or breathing difficulties in the first few weeks after surgery, we worry about a blood clot or pulmonary embolism.  When it is a chronic issue occurring several months after surgery I would be less inclined to think it had anything to do with your augmentation surgery.  That does not mean that you don't have an issue going on with your lungs or respiratory track that needs medical attention, it just means you should start with your primary care doctor and have a thorough evaluation of your heart and lungs and see if something else isn't going on.  It is highly unlikely this is related to your surgery and other causes must be ruled out.  Please make an appointment to see your doctor, take a written diary of when these episodes occur and in what situations. 1 okay Thank you for your question.  I would not expect breast implants to be causing a heavy feeling in your chest after 9 months unless they are extremely large over 5-600 cc.However I do recommend that you be examined by your primary care physician and your plastic surgeon.
