Is drainage 2 weeks post Smart Lipo normal? (Photos)

I would tell you that the best option is to see your surgeon. At two weeks out it is not "normal" to have drainage.  You trusted your surgeon to perform your procedure, I would trust what he is telling you post op!

Thanks for the question, at this point I would be concerned that there is a problem with the suture if one was used or an early infection. Good idea to pop in and see your surgeon, as a surgeon I always want to know what is happening with my patients to ensure the best result/experience possible

I would recommend seeing your surgeon. From the photo this looks very minor. In some cases you may see a very small amount of drainage as the stitch dissolves. This is self limited. Best of luck, Dr. M

It’s not normal to have still opened incision and liquids after 15th day of postop. In that photo, there are red spots near to incision. It means that there is an inflammation next to incision. Adding to this, it can easily turn on to soft tissue infection. I advice you to see your doctor. If you can’t, i advice you to use antibiotical pomades for dressing.

usually the drainage stops by the next day. You may just be having a bit of drainage from the incision, which is not uncommon and this will resolve on its own and is nothing to worry about. IF it persists, simply see your surgeon and let him examine you.david berman md
