Is it possible to bring the nose closer to the lip? (Photo)

Hello, I have been in the market for a rhinoplasty for over a decade, and have decided I do intend on getting one. My question is can the nose bridge be brought down the face to shorten the length between the nose and lips? Or is the better option to do a lip lift? I am also looking to see if I can get a nose similar to Jasmine Tookes if that is possible? Any thoughts?

To reduce the length between your nose and lips, extending the nose with cartilage grafts is a viable option. This technique can effectively shorten the appearance of that distance. A lip lift would certainly decrease the distance between the pink of your lip and the bottom of your nose. Sometimes, people who want to go lip lift surgery, can experience poor scarring in that area which could be visible. A lip lift will bring the lip closer to the nose. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.

You are definitely a good candidate for a rhinoplasty to improve the shape of your nose such as narrowing your nose to make it look more like the model photos you posted. If you want to actually shorten the distance between your nose and your lip, that would require a lip lift. A lip lift is a minor surgical procedure which aims to improve the appearance and shape of the lip. A small incision is made at the base of the nose and a small strip of skin is removed to lift the lip to a higher position. This is done for a couple of reasons – in a youthful face, the distance between the upper lip and the base of the nose is short. With age, this skin stretches and the upper lip becomes flat and you lose visibility of the red portion of the lip. A lip lift restores a youthful distance between the lips and the nose which creates a more balanced facial appearance. By shortening this distance this rolls the red portion of the lip upwards creating more fullness and shape. Some patients undergo a corner lip lift at the same time to correct a downturned corner of the mouth. I would recommend seeing an experienced facial plastic surgeon in consultation to discuss your goals.
