Hi, is my nose too tricky for rhinoplasty? I don’t love my nose, although it’s straight, my nostrils are long and the tip is large. What kind of rhinoplasty could improve it, if any? I’d welcome any less invasive ideas that would improve the look. F, 39yrs, Australia

Answer: Rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for achieving a less projected and less distracting nasal appearance. Based on your photos, you appear to have thin nasal skin with a bulbous nasal tip, and over projected tip, and a long nasal appearance. Depending on your examination, rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for achieving a narrower, smaller, and more feminine nasal appearance. Additionally, you may have a deviated nasal septum to the left that is causing your tip to veer a bit to the right. It is common to correct functional issues at the time of cosmetic rhinoplasty. Answer: Rhinoplasty You are an excellent candidate for a rhinoplasty. The over projection of your tip can be corrected and the nose can be made more triangle from the base.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty. I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. In your case, the rhinoplasty is fairly straight forward. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. Answer: Rhinoplasty You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty. Your nose needs to be shortened and the tip brought closer to your face. Also the nostrils can be reduced with alar wedge excision
