Is using Flonase to reduce swelling safe one week after Rhino/Septoplasty?

My cosmetic ent who performed my rhinoplasty along with septoplasty said my daily allergy nose spray may actually reverse swelling... Is this a safe idea?

Post operatively my patients cleanse the inner nose with 1/2 strength hydrogen peroxide on a q tip, no nose blowing and are prescribed an antibiotic and steroid dose pack. Flonase, a steroid inhaler is safe to use because of its low steroid concentration.

Yes, this should be safe to use early post-op if it is closely followed by your recommending surgeon.

I have never encountered problems from patients using this. If your surgeon recommended it and you trusted him/her to do your surgery, I would have that same trust in the post-operative instructions.
