I had a mommy makeover in March 2022 which included full abdominoplasty, lipo to the abdomen, bra rolls, and hips, and implant removal and lift. I have been disappointed with the lipo results. I went to a board certified plastic surgeon. Are these results normal and I had unrealistic expectation? Or was my surgeon, who has been practicing for a couple years and recently certified, too inexperienced? Can these irregularities be fixed, perhaps with Vaser in the same areas as original? Thanks
Answer: Liposuction results I'm sorry to hear that you're not satisfied with the outcome of your surgery. However, based on my experience, I believe it's possible to address the issues you've described and improve the final result. Of course, an “in person” consultation is necessary. I hope this helps, best of luck !

Answer: MM results Hello, thank you very much for your question and your photos. I am sorry to hear about your disappointment with the results of the Mommy Makeover. It could indeed have been much better. I think you could improve with a revision. Consult a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area for a physical exam. Good luck!

Answer: Disappointed with lipo results and irregularities - normal or unrealistic expectations? Thanks for posting photos! You had full TT so can not do liposuction over areas of TT skin. The lateral lipo areas appear as irregularties, wrinkled, dented or better call fibrosis that might be caused by the Vaser/J-Plasms use!!! Best to virtual consult for lipo 360 revision. Fees from $5,000+

Answer: Cosmetic surgery results To make an accurate assessment on the outcome of a surgical procedure we always need to see proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. Consider me posting including proper before, and after pictures to get a more useful response. Delivering consistent quality, Liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons who have mastered this procedure. Being bored, certified in plastic surgery, having years of experience or an overall good reputation does not mean somebody has mastered anyone single procedure. Liposuction results have more variance in outcome than any other plastic surgery procedure depending who you choose as your provider. Results are generally based on two variables. Those two variables are patient candidacy combined with the skill of the provider. Revision work is more complex and difficult than primary Liposuction. This Means that attempts to improve poorly done Liposuction requires more diligence in regards to finding the best provider. I suggest all patients have multiple in person consultations whenever considering permanent irreversible body contouring procedures. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients who had similar body characteristics to your own. An experience plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider or how many of these procedures they’ve actually done. The process of finding providers for revision work is more or less the same as finding the right providers to do Primary Liposuction. Recognize that revision of work is inherently more difficult than doing Primary, Liposuction, and the amount of improvement may be limited. The ability to make an accurate assessment is key to understanding what can or cannot be accomplished with further surgery. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
