The cost of breast augmentation will depend upon type of implant used as well as area of the country and surgeon's fee. A saline breast augmentation may be $5000, and a silicone breast augmentation may be $6500 at the low end. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of breast augmentations each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA
The costs of breast augmentation like the costs most procedures vary significantly among regions and even within a county. We currently charge $2800 + MD Anesthesia related costs for Breast Augmentation with saline implants. Gel implants tend to be an additional $1000 - $1500. There is not a different costs to move from A to B cup as you do wish vs. moving to other sizes. To ensure quality work at most cost effective prices, consult with board certified plastic surgeons that own their own nationally accredited facilities. These surgeons must maintain the highest standards to keep accreditation. Moreover, the surgeons are motivated to ensure quality and properly trained staff (to minimize time and frustration in surgery), private and comfortable facilities (to ensure continued referrals), and less waste (to ensure that they can remain competitive financially with other centers).Consult with 3 experienced and expert board certified plastic surgeons to understand your options.
Hi jessyluz, The price of an augmentation to go from an A to a B cup size is the same as going to a C or a D cup size. What you need to ask is not the price but what is the value of what you are buying. The value comes in the form of experience on the surgeons part, satisfaccion of his or her patients (which can be seen by reading realself reviews and looking at the before and after photos posted), bedside manners, availability if any emergency should happen and foremost the credentials he or she exhibits such as board certifications, number of law suites, etc. Ask around in your community, the best surgeons will be recommended by several people not just one. Good luck with your search! DrBrou
I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. Ask to see lots of examples of their work and preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. I would also suggest that you do not base your selection of plastic surgeon primarily on costs of surgery; keep in mind that revisionary surgery may be more costly in many ways. Once you have selected your plastic surgeon, have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “A or B cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. You will likely find that the costs associated with breast augmentation surgery will vary from one geographic area to another and will not be based on specific breast size goals etc. I hope this, and the attched link, helps.
Thank you for your question. Once your incision is completely healed and your surgeon gives you the OK, it is safe to go into a hot tub with silicone implants. Silicone is extremely heat resistant and will not be affected by the heat caused by warm water. That's one of the reasons...
The risk is clot formation on your aortic valve replacement vs bleeding from you surgery. Have your doctors discussed stopping the Coumadin (Warfarin) prior to surgery and perhaps started a bridging blood thinner like Lovenox? The risk is twofold clotting the valve and bleeding from the breast...
Capsule contracture, while it does happen, is not a really common occurrence. Most series report it occurring anywhere from 10 - 20 % of the time, but it is important to remember that this is all forms of capsule contracture, and not just the ones that have to return to the OR for...
