When do I start massaging my incision site to reduce scars? (Inframmamary surgical site; I'm over a week post op)

I know that massaging the scar is very helpful in making it less noticeable over time. When is the best time to begin massaging? I am one week and two days post op. Do I need to wait until the scab falls off first? I don't want to make the scars worse in the future or cause any damage. However, (if I'm not mistaken) when the incision is healing and scar tissue is just forming, this is when the tissue is changing the most and is a very important time for scar prevention/treatment....I think.
