The size of the crown is thicker and doesn't sit level with the veneer. Can the crown be made the same size?

The size of veneers and crowns can be the same. We frequently do a veneer on a few teeth and a crown on some of the adjacent teeth. The only difference between the two types of restorations is how much tooth they cover. You are correct it is a size issue.  This can be corrected with remaking the ceramic restoration.

This is a question where it is pertinent to have photos to view before giving you advice.  Please provide these photos or find a dentist in your area experienced in cosmetic dentistry to give you options.  A dental exam sounds like a must here.  Best of luck.  

Usually when you replace the restoration on the very front tooth you replace the restoration on the tooth next to it. The reason is for the problems you are having...size and shade. Both can be made evenly and from the same shade porcelain. Whether crowns or veneers or a combination...a well trained cosmetic dentist can make the match as close as possible to your other teeth. Wish I had a picture to go off of. 

The other dentists have given you some good advice with requesting photos.  In general, if you where happy with the veneers before an implant had to be placed, then most likely,the implant is over-contoured.  The actual position of the implant in the bone could be factor as well.  If it has been placed too far facially, perhaps there was not enough room for the porcelain on the crown.  Another thought is whether a custom abutment was used.  This refers to the part that is placed into your implant to support the crown. A stock abutment will often cause issues.  Finally, sometimes it is the skill of the dentist and ceramist to design a crown to blend in with your adjacent teeth.Suggestions: speak to your dentist about your concerns. Ask why it is too large, ask if a custom abutment was used, let him know you are not pleased with the results and how he can help. Once again, as the others expressed, sending photos can be valuable when seeking advice.All the best.

It's very difficult to answer your question without a picture. The placement of the implant is critical to the final shape outcome of the crown. It is very possible to match a veneer and an implant crown if the placement of the implant is correct. If the implant has to be placed in a less than ideal position surgically it may be difficult to match even two crowns. I suggest talking to a dentist that has both experience in restoring implants and doing cosmetic dentistry. I hope this helps.

As a general rule, when treating a single central tooth, restore the one next to it for balance and symmetry.  Without this step, one must accept "good enough" as a result.

if you all ready had an implant, and you want to make a more nice and even smile, you will necessarily need to make them on the same material, and also with good smile design you will have great layout, always at least 8 , never 6 ,front teeth are difficult, and you should talk with your doctor about the even layout so you will improve the smile.
