I had CoolSculpting done about 4 years ago. After I finished my second round, I noticed that it left indentions in my inner thighs. I talked to the place that did it but they would not help. I did see another place that did CoolSculpting to see if they could fix it and they told me that the applicators had not been placed incorrectly. I am over it, I am just looking for a solution on how I can make them look more smooth. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: Divots post-CoolSculpt It seems as though the CoolSculpt applicators were not placed correctly. One thing to know is that when you had the treatments performed over 4 years ago, your treatments involved outdated CoolSculpt protocols. CoolSculpt has since then changed their vacuum and freezing technologies to optimize their fat-loss and body-contouring results. Non-invasive treatments that you could be a good candidate for is BodyFX or Forma, or possible combination of both. These radiofrequency treatments tackle deep and superficial layers (respectively) of our subcutaneous tissues, allowing tightening and contouring of uneven areas. Typically these treatments are not "one and done" and require a series of sessions for best results.Another option that is non-invasive, may include Sculptra to fillout the divets. Sculptra is a collagen building and volumizing product. This is most well-known for injection in the glutes, but it can be used in other areas of the body. If interested in these options, I strongly recommend seeking an in-person consultation with an Aesthetics office that has confirmed experience with these non-invasive treatments. Best, Dr. Anil Shah

Answer: Indentations on the thigh after CoolSculpting Thank you for your question and I am sorry you did not receive optimal results from your first round of CoolSculpting. I agree that the applicators were probably placed too low, right below the soft part of the upper inner thigh. This transition to the mid-thigh is tricky and I’ve seen dents here from liposuction as well. This has left you with uneven improvements that now need to be addressed to produce the best possible outcome. Fortunately, there are options for reducing the indentations and producing a smoother contour. I could correct this concern using fat transfer or injections of the dermal filler Sculptra or hyper-diluted Radiesse into the area. These treatments restore targeted fullness to the area to reduce the uneven appearance you see now. It may also be possible to smooth the thigh with very careful microliposuction above and below the dents, depending on the examination. Make sure you work with a board-certified dermatologist that can help you address your specific concerns and create a positive result.

Answer: Skin Tightening for Thighs -- Thigh Lift, VASER Hi-DEF, Vanquish, truSculpt, Venus Legacy, Exilis, Cellutone/ZWave, Renuvion You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. Nonsurgical options give only mild improvement as compared to surgical lifting. If there is a lot of skin laxity, a Thigh Lift procedure performed at the same time as a VASER Hi-Definition Liposuction procedure (with ThermiRF, Renuvion, and InMode BodyTite) would give the most improvement. Other options for skin tightening would be a combination approach with Vanquish, truSculpt iD, Venus Legacy, Exilis, and Cellutone / ZWave. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a high-definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Indentation on thigh following incorrect treatment I'm so sorry to see your very unfortunate result. The good and bad news of Coolsculpting is that it works on eliminating fat cells...this is why it is imperative that the applicators are placed properly and thoughtfully and the treatments are done by providers that are well trained. Once the fat cells are gone, they're gone. When faced with cases like yours we have done various things to help patients mask, disguise or some how improve the area. This can involve Coolsculpting adjacent areas, radiofrequency treatments to surrounding areas, fat grafting or fillers to the indented area. Consider a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon that is also experienced with Coolsculpting and other non-surgical modalities that may help. Best of luck.

Answer: CoolSculpting treatment was incomplete It looks like the applicator to treat your thigh was too small. The unwanted fat should be matched to the appropriate applicator size. The easiest way to correct this is to place another applicator above the previously treated area and do another session so that the applicators would have overlapped as if it were one larger applicator.
