I had a BBL in 2016 and now my tummy has what I think are fibrosis lumps? How do I get rid of this CoolSculpting, truSculpt ?
Answer: CoolSculpt post-lipo Fibrosis is a common result of healing scar tissues post-liposuction. Addition of laser and radiofrequency energy therapies is common with liposuction procedures but it does not necessarily prevent fibrosis from happening. CoolSculpt may help with any residual pockets of fat to even and contour the abdomen, but it is specifically designed for fat loss. I recommend seeking an in-person consultation with a board-certified plastics surgeon with proven experience with body contouring treatments. Best, Dr. Anil Shah

Answer: Coolscsulpting after liposuction Coolsculpting is designed to target fat cells and fat pockets. We have treated many patients who have had some leftover lumps post liposuction with the Coolsculpting machine and have been able to decrease them and in most cases completely eliminate them. As long as it is pinch-able fat and fits into the Coolsculpting applicator, we would be able to properly target those pockets.

Answer: Coolsculpting targets fat only Coolsculpting is designed specifically to target fat cells and not interfere with other kinds of tissues. If there are still fat deposits underneath the skin in that area that are contributing to the unevenness, you may see an improvement with coolsculpting. Another option might be to "equalize" the fat with a secondary liposuction, moving it around to spread it more evenly instead of continuing to suck it out. It would be beneficial to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss this and to explore other options for improving the skin texture and contour.

In your case, consider CoolSculpting as a simpler, non-surgical approach to flatten the raised area. You may need to consider fat grafting to the adjacent firmly scarred area. Please consult with a talented, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to evaluate your concerns. All the best!
