I had breast augmentation weeks ago and this evening my finger tips on both hands suddenly feel like they're "asleep". Is this normal?
Answer: Nerve compression Thank you very much for this interesting question. First of all no it is not normal. That can be a number of reasons why you have tingling feeling in your fingertips. The number of questions however still have to be answered. When was the onset of the tingling feeling. Was it directly after surgery? Is it symmetrical? Are there any other parts of your body that have the same tingling feeling? Is that feeling continuous or does the normal feeling come back at times? Has this feeling changed to the better or to the worse since the surgery?Regardless they need to be a physical examination to assess which nerve function is compromised. First step is to go back to your surgeon to inform him. He should then manage the follow up treatment. Have a wonderful rest of the day and greetings from the beautiful island of Jamaica.

Answer: Numb fingers after augmentation You dont mention if all fingers were involved, or if it is a recurring event. The symtoms you describe are unlikely to be due to your augmentation, especially this long after surgery. This could be associated with some type of nerve compression, or of a vascular nature. If they persist, you should have your surgeon evaluate you.

Answer: Tingling fingers after BAM Finger tingling and breast augmentation do not really go hand in hand. Certainly something that has just happened for the first time several weeks after your augmentation is very unlikely to be related. I believe there is likely an explanation other than your implants. I know that doesn't answer the more important question of what is causing the numbness, but hopefully can put you at ease knowing it's not the implants. Congrats on having your augmentation. I wish you the best and hope your fingers get better soon.
