I have been using minoxidil for 1 month and I am on the shedding phase. I want to know if I can do 1 year treatment with just topical minoxidil and then stop it gradually, but start a treatment with PRP in my hair for at least a year to keep my gained hairs with the minoxidil. I think this hairloss is due to physical stress because I went out of my country to study, but will return next year and just want to keep the most of my hair while this 1 year passes. When I'm home my hairloss stop alot.

Answer: Minoxidil stopping First, one needs to give thought to the actual diagnosis and then to treatment. While some amount of telogen effluvium could be present here, there is without a doubt a significant contribution from male balding. Minoxidil and PRP work differently and don’t work in everyone. In fact, they perform quite well in a minority of users rather than a majority. If these treatments helped 100% of users one could switch in the manner described without detriment to hair loss. However they do not One needs to be aware that stopping minoxidil (if it were to help) and starting PRP could be associated with hair loss.

Answer: Different Since minoxidil and PRP are separate entities once you stop the minoxidil you will lose whatever you have gained by using it. The same will go for PRP, once you stop using it all you have gained will be lost. I would maintain the minoxidil while using PRP for even better results.
