In my opinion, it depends how the wig is worn. A silk wig cap must be used underneath the wig and worn loosely. The bottom side of wigs usually are rough and if they rub on the scalp, they can pull and break the hair. If your PRP is done with micro-needling, wearing a wig is contraindicated. If subdermal Depot injections are to utilized, a wig is acceptable if worn correctly.
The only time a wig will affect hair growth is when it is worn very tight on the head for long periods-this can cause Traction Alopecia (hair loss due to pulling).Otherwise it is perfectly fine to wear a wig after PRP treatment.
