How long do I have to wait to have a tummy tuck after a tubal ligation?

There is no time to wait anger a tubal ligation, in many occations the tubal ligations are done at the same time as the abdominoplasty

You could probably do what you are looking to do, but i would typically wait several months to make sure you are healed adequately from the first procedure.  You may be able to find a plastic surgeon locally who works with your gynecologist to do the procedure at the same time.I often do this for patients who are having a tuboligation or hysterectomy so that patients only have to worry about one healing and recovery process.Also, consider the risks of doing a tummy tuck out of state.  You have to be prepared to travel back to your surgeon in case you have a complication (infection, bleeding, prolonged need for a drainage tube, etc...).  You may want to find a plastic surgeon locally who would be willing to help with your post-op care if you are set on going out of state.Good luck.

Should be fine by then. please make sure you pick a well respected and certified doctor not just a good price. When going out of town if you have a problem then you will have saved no money at all. Good Luck!

There is no hard and fast rule here.  You want to be sure things have healed after the first procedure.  Maybe 6 weeks or so should be adequate.  Make sure you have a good reason to travel for surgery.  There must be someone in Houston who could do a good job for you.  Being far away from your surgeon after surgery is tough, especially if they are in a differend country.

In general I would say a tummy tuck 2 weeks after a tubal ligation is to soon (considering these both are completely elective procedures). You should help your 2 surgeons get in touch with each other. With each other's input a mutually agreed upon recommendation can be given to you. Good luck.

There are no hard and fast rules on timing after something like a tubal ligation.  With both surgeries there will be a period of recovery.  Most of the time I allow patients to heal and recovery from surgery and anesthesia for about 3 months.  It will be important to evaluate your needs and personal situation to make this decision and also let your surgeons help guide you. This is a relatively simple procedure if done laparoscopically.I would suggest that you consult with your plastic surgeon, as both procedures could be done at the same time.Hope this helps.
