Belly button has a real hole. Is it normal? (Photo)

My belly button looks all the way open... is this normal. I will post 3 days post op belly button pic & 3 weeks post op. It oozes small amount of fluid or blood occasionally. But the real deal is.. is it suppose to look all the way open? Suggestions welcome pls.

This could be a very small area of ischemia and necrosis, but it appears to be quite small. If the area of concern does not increase in size, it should heal just fine without any problems. More likely, this is just a small area of blistering. I would not be too concerned about this at this point...

The answer to your question is no. It would be extremely unlikely for something to happen during surgery that you did not expect or at least know was a possibility. I am not saying that your surgeon did not make a good intra-operative decision. That would be impossible to know without knowing...

Unfortunately you may have a persistent seroma for some time. It may recur following your next aspiration. I would use your compression garment ( check with your surgeon first). If you can not get to a Plastic surgeon in Canada you can go to your local emergency department and they could...
