The best thing to do is to notify your dentist. If you are unable to get in right away there is one suggestion to temporarily ease the discomfort. Place a small piece of wax over the aligner border that is causing the irritation. Keep in mind, it may not stay adhered as well as it does to braces and of course by all means if this does not alleviate the problem, then remove the aligners until you are able to see your dentist. Typically wax is not provided for Invisalign patients, however you can purchase wax from the drug store.
