Dr. Oliver is the best! I would recommend her to anyone in the DMV/ Tri state area. I travel four hours each way to see her she is just that good. Great customer care, her staff are SUPER friendly, really caring, and her equipment/space is very clean and high tech. I got 6 month Invisalign express treatment and Dr. Oliver pays great attention to detail and truly does look out for her patients! Love her and this office!
Dr. Oliver is the best! I currently have the Damon braces and I'm 37 years old! She helps with giving me confidence while wearing them at this age and keeping me excited to see the final results! I highly recommend her and if my kids need ortho treatment they will also go to her.
My expierence at Dr.Olivers office is all around great from the front desk all the way to her helper and to the doctor. She has helped me in so many ways from having confidence and a way better smile every month I see my self being able to talk to people way more than what I use too thanks Dr.Oliver you're the best!!!! ????????????
I cannot sing enough praises about this practice. Dr. Oliver is extremely professional and takes the time to explain every step of the process while conducting continuous status checks along the way. I was preparing for my wedding in late August 2015 and booked a consultation in May to see whether Invisalign Express might help solve a slight alignment issue before the big day. This isn't always an option for folks, but acknowledging this narrow window of time, Maya reviewed the benefits of short-term vs. long-term solutions with me and decided I would be a good candidate for the "Express" treatment. By our wedding date, I was on tray 8/10 and the alignment was just about complete. At this point, I am now transitioning to the retainer and thrilled with the results. Very thankful I read the rave reviews and made that initial consultation. Highly recommend giving this practice your time, business, and trust. Another bonus was that my dental insurance plan covered almost half of the total treatment cost, so that is also something to explore if you're on the fence.
I had a quite complicated orthodontic case, (sent to many specialists as a child and part of several case studies; UCLA, USC). My treatment was difficult and with several limitations, which meant extremely tailored care and attention. After a failed treatment of traditional braces, followed by invisalign ( treatment in california as this was my prior residence). Dr Oliver , saw me as a new patient transfer for braces and I am so so happy with my results. She so passionate about her field, and art. After spending so much money on my teeth and smile, I did not want to risk going to just anyone. I felt very confident in her expertise and she explained all the in's and out's of the treatment and changes to be expected, and answered all of my questions. I never felt rushed, just comfortable and confident in her hands. Dr. Oliver truly cared and her attention to detail was priceless. She is a lovely person to have as your doctor. Oh and, I absolutely love her office, it is the one of most beautifully designed offices I've ever seen. ?The staff is so nice and accommodating. My last visit my mind was blown by all the new and latest technology they have. Overall this has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Can't thank you enough Dr Oliver!! JS
I brought my daughter for treatment of Invisalign Express ($3800), and I ended up getting retainers as well! The staff at Georgetown Orthodontics is very friendly and accommodating to my schedule. Dr. Oliver is patient and meticulous; she spends time talking the patient and family through the process before and after each visit. I would highly recommend Georgetown Orthodontics.
My smile needed a major makeover, and I decided it was not too late to do it even at age 26. I chose the Damon System braces because of Doctor Oliver's recommendation. It was the right choice because I did not think it was very painful when the braces got first installed, and I've had the wire snap only once. More importantly, I've been seeing a huge improvement in only 7 months of the treatment.
Dr. Oliver answers all of my questions. Invisalign is great because you can't see the trays when I'm wearing them on pictures or in person . Also, this type of ortho is not invasive at all and that is a plus. The location of her office is convenient and it is easy to schedule appointments. Friendly staff also a plus.
I've had braces twice before but have not done well with the retainers. Every pregnancy my teeth shift and this 3rd pregnancy has been no different. I decided to fix my teeth once and for all since this is my last child and have requested permanent retainers to ensure there is no further shifting. I have the Ecoress treatment, 10 trays. I change them every two weeks. There is some discomfort but it's manageable. I love the flexibility as I am a corporate marketing manager and can take the trays out if I really needed to in a pinch.
I am thrilled to write a review for Georgetown Orthodontics! My daughter met Dr. Oliver through her career preparation program some time ago. Dr. Oliver gave an inspiring speech on her career which impressed my daughter and led her to reach out to Dr. Oliver to obtain her services. It’s easy to give 5 stars! She has a courteous and professional staff and the office is simply beautiful and comfortable! There’s basically no wait time for an appointment and you can be seen immediately after you arrive for your appointment. Dr. Oliver is definitely concerned and cares about her patients. My daughter and I really like this office and have had a great experience here. Would definitely recommended!!
If very little shifting has occurred and only minor tooth movement is needed to align your teeth, then an active retainer could be an option. If however the relapse is more severe, then consider Retreatment with Invisalign Express or Braces.
While you do have a significant amount of crowding between your lower front teeth, making the decision to extract is not done solely by looking at pictures. A close evaluation of your orthodontic X-rays is also necessary. If all of your diagnostics records deem extractions as needed, then it is best to follow your orthodontist's treatment recommendation.
Since your teeth are free from the braces they are prone to shift, which is why retainers are absolutely necessary after orthodontic treatment. If only minor tooth movement has occurred, then your retainers should be able to position your teeth back into alignment.
Considering that you are just starting your Invisalign treatment, it is quite normal for your teeth to feel tight especially if those particular teeth are crowded. If your orthodontist instructed you to change the aligners every 14 days, then follow the recommendation. If however when you switch to aligner #2 there is a fit issue, then contact your orthodontist as soon as possible. Best of luck!
The most common reason for staining while in Invisalign is due to inadequate cleaning of the teeth prior to placing the aligners back into the mouth. Since you stated that you are brushing well, then this may not be the cause. Another possibility could be that there are areas of excess attachment adhesive on the teeth. This could create plaque accumulation and resultant staining. The best thing to do is to express your concern with your orthodontist, therefore he or she can examen your teeth and determine the likely cause for the staining. The good news is that most stains can be easily removed.
