Is Emsculpt or Smart Lipo best for me? (Photo)

Question

From my research, I have narrowed to two procedures I am interested in. Emsculpt and smart lipo. I am wondering, based on my pics, which procedure would be better? My goal is to get rid of belly fat. I am 10 months PP of having a baby. I also provided a before pregnancy picture because that is how flat I want my stomach again. I was told I would have to get a tummy tuck by one surgeon and I will not even consider getting that surgery at 23 years old. I like smartlipo because it's not so invasive

It is hard to tell how much of your belly is fat and how much is bulge from the stretch of your fascia from the pregnancy. Emsculpt will tighten your muscles a bit but do little to the fat. If you have a thick pinch of fat in your abdomen then liposuction could do very well. If you have liposuction, pick a good surgeon and let them pick which liposuction technique works best for them. All the liposuction techniques work, but the best work comes from the best surgeons.  However, I bet it will take a tummy tuck to tighten your fascia to get the narrow waist like before children. You should wait on this until your are done having children. Good luck.

Thanks for the pictures and provided information as well.
Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for liposuction and a ummy tuck, to give you a nice tight tummy and get rid of the extra skin. It wouldnt give you good results to just get the lipo since you have a lot of lose skin in your belly.
Along with the tummy tuck, liposuction allows your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. You improve your waist, back and flanks.
In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.

Smart Lipo is good for stubborn areas of fat, but lacks body contouring and shaping. For best results, I recommend a hi-definition procedure like VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck, if there is skin laxity. I use VASER HI-DEF with ThermiRF, Renuvion (J Plasma), InMode BodyTite, and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Thank you for your question and posting your pictures. While SmartLipo is a less invasive procedure than a tummy tuck, it still involves liposuction. You have a few options here depending on the degree of invasiveness you desire. I prefer Tickle Lipo (or Vaser Lipo) combined with Renuvion if you are looking for a fat removal procedure with tightening of the tissue. Alternatively, you could do either CoolSculpting, Vanquish Me or the combination (Fire & Ice) for the destruction of fat cells. Any of these procedures can be combined with Emsculpt which serves to build and firm muscle while destroying some fat.It is unlikely you will get your pre-baby body all the way back without a tummy tuck, but the combo of these treatments will give you the best non-invasive or less-invasive results.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
