Button-like nose through Rhinoplasty? (photos)

Question

I've always really hated my nose. It's big, the bridge seems too high, a bulbous tip that points downwards and my nostrils seem too long/big. I've always wanted a button-like nose such as the one in the photo. I just don't know if it's possible to do such things with Rhinoplasty. :( What would have to be done to achieve the look? Could my nostrils be widened and the tip turned upwards to get that 'button' look? Thanks!

Thank you for your question and photos. A well executed Rhinoplasty can achieve the results you are describing. However, I must caution you against comparing your results to others as facial characteristics vary from person to person and exact dimensions may not be appropriate for your face. After reviewing your photos, I believe that what you are seeking is possible.  With that being said, the entire goal of a rhinoplasty is to create a refined, aesthetically-pleasing nose based on what fits your face - while making it appear completely natural.  I recommend consulting with a Board-Certified plastic surgeon who will accurately examine your nose, create a simulation that would show you what your nose could look like after surgery, and develop a plan tailored to your individual needs. There are several techniques that can be successfully used to deproject an overprojected nose.  By operating on the underlying cartilages, the tip can be rotated up and deprojected.   The process will also widen the base that in many situations will be beneficial.  The bridge is brought down consistent with the overall proportions of the nose. Hello.  Rhinoplasty for a bulbous tip, to "thin" and reduce the size of the nose is a common request.  The nasal cartilages are sutured and sculpted to reduce the bulbosity.

It is impossible to give a " button nose" without making it  look operated upon and unnatural. The rhinoplasty procedure  can address de-projecting the nose, shaving down the dorsal hump and lifting the tip. Closed rhinoplasty approach can address all these concerns.
