I've always really hated my nose. It's big, the bridge seems too high, a bulbous tip that points downwards and my nostrils seem too long/big. I've always wanted a button-like nose such as the one in the photo. I just don't know if it's possible to do such things with Rhinoplasty. :( What would have to be done to achieve the look? Could my nostrils be widened and the tip turned upwards to get that 'button' look? Thanks!

First, please don't blow your nose any more until your surgeon clears you to. You likely have a small communication between your nasal airway and the skin over the bridge - this is not uncommon. Your skin will not "rot" but forcing air under your nasal skin during the initial healing phase is...
You have midface protrusion and that requires very sophisticated surgery but can result in dramatic improvement. It amounts to making cuts in the maxillary bone and repositioning it back so it matches the more natural position of the chin and the eyesockets.
Yes, there is no reason why an experienced Rhinoplasty
surgeon can not use rib graft in a closed procedure. It depends on what it is
being used for and what the goals are, but it can be done.
