Fat necrosis on buttock. Can this be removed? (Photo)

I got a BBL 11 years ago. I have fat necrosis on my right buttock. It has not bothered me till a few years ago. Thr plastic surgeon said its in the muscle. I got a MRI done. My question is will it be able to be removed. Is this bad that he wont be able to fix?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Dear Jubilant,
Fat necrosis is unfortunately one of the risks of BBL surgery.  You haven't mentioned why, or how it is now bothering you.  Sometimes it is accompanied by an oil component (cyst), which may be aspirated to decrease the size and soften the area.  The MRI would show if this is the case.  Open surgical removal would be a possibly significantly invasive surgery.  Good luck!

We can’t really see fat and necrosis based on the picture.
I suggest you follow up with your provider who did the procedure. If that person is not available, then make in person consultations with other plastic surgeons in your community.
