10 months after alar base reduction and one side has not healed - should I be concerned? (photos)

Male 22 years old. I just want to know if this is normal my surgeon says give it time but it’s been 10 months and still not healed fully like my other side. Ill be including pictures of the healed and non healed side id appreciate the help!

I do not believe that the opening in the incision will close spontaneously at this point. Since it is relatively small, I believe that your surgeon could repair this in the office with local anesthetic. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

At this point i.e., 10 months postop  it is not going to get much better without intervention. The best option is have microneedling once a month or Resurfx laser. You can also alternate between the two. It is not technique related. Unfortunately you have thick sebaceous skin and it heals poorly. Also, use Silicone gel to massage every night.
