I’ve been considering either Lipo to the stomach/flank or a bbl. I’ve always carried extra weight on my hips so I’m no sure how my anatomy looks without it. Would I be able to achieve an hourglass/curvy shape just by having extra fat removed? I feel like I had wide hips but I’m not sure if it’s just the extra weight that makes it seems so.
Answer: Will I get an hourglass shape from Lipo to the flanks? (photos) The thinner patient requires an expert at liposuction to remove as much fat as possible while leaving the skin smooth. This is all a question of balance and proportions. Fat can be taken from many different areas of the body including abdomen, sides, back, bra rolls, thighs, arms, underarms, etc. You have to consider not only which areas will have perhaps the best fat, but also you have to consider which donor sites will have the fewest problems afterward with the liposuction. In general, the abdomen and thighs are preferred, but, if those sites are not available, other areas can be used. Creative liposuction with fat transfer to the hips can make them appear lifted, and rounder. If the waist was smaller at one time, the waist can likely be reduced to those same measurements or smaller provided the muscular and fascial integrity has remained the same. Answer: Will I get an hourglass shape from Lipo to the flanks? Thank you for your question and photos. The way to obtain an hourglass figure, is to have a 3D operation and not a 2D operation. This is also highly surgeon dependent based on technique, tools used and an artistic sense and appreciation of normal beauty. In my practice, I use VASER Hi Def Lipo 360 degrees of the whole torso. Looking at you photos, you have excess fat on the abdomen, anterior and lateral rib cage, back, waist, hips, lower back fat pad and left saddle bag. All these areas need to be treated, and all these treated areas need to be connected to help "shrink wrap" the skin over the muscles. The collected fat can be used to enhance and shape your buttocks. I also sculpt out the semilunar lines and epigastric mid-line of the abdomen, the lower back paraspinous muscles to give an overall athletic and youthful shape. I use stealth incisions, so there are no signs that surgery even took place.See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.

Answer: BBL candidate Dear beccafitz, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Liposuction to the waist/lower back/flanks will enhance “hourglass” shape Thanks for your question. You are carrying some excess fullness in your waist/lower back/flank region. Reducing these areas by liposuction contouring will enhance your hourglass shape and improve definition of the upper buttock region. I would also recommend liposuction to your abdomen to achieve a more uniform look from the front and back. You would have enough fat to perform a modest, tasteful BBL, if you desire. Your PS should be able to show you multiple before/after examples of similar transformations and help with your decision-making. Good luck.

Answer: Candidate for BBL/Liposuction Thank you for your question. It is best to be seen in person to be properly evaluated, however with that said based on the photos alone, you appear to be a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift. Liposuction of your flanks and back will give you a narrower waist and and a BBL will give more curves. I recommend consulting with a plastic surgeon in person so they may better go over the procedures to help you achieve the aesthetic results you desire. Good luck!
