I'm 23 years old and have pronounced nasobial lines. It's very distressing and makes me feel very low. Is it to early to get filler or is there something else I could try. Please help I feel I've lost my youthful face already.
Answer: Dermal fillers Hi @Samanthawalker. Based on your photos, you have some flattening of the cheeks. Adding volume to your cheeks will help soften the nasolabial folds as well. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Nasolabial Folds and Fillers At younger ages, using fillers for contouring such as lifting the cheeks, tear trough/eye hallows, and temples helps improve the NLFs and give a much more beautified appearance. I would avoid direct injection into the folds as it often doesn't give the desired more youthful result, just makes the area appear puffy. Look for someone who is an expert in fillers and facial contouring and treats younger patients. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: You have beautiful facial structure! Your facial structure is beautiful, but you can possibly use some volume in your cheeks. Nasolabial lines are not bad by themselves and oftentimes are quite normal. If you tend to diet or exercise a bit (long distance runner, marathon, etc) you can easily lose the 'apple' of your cheek. Fillers such as Perlane, Voluma and Juvederm can help that greatly and are an excellent option for you. I wouldn't really recommend fillers in the nasolabial area, however, as that sometimes looks a bit odd at your age. Good luck!

Answer: Important concerns for treating nasolabial lines For perspective, please realize that you have very mild prominence of the nasolabial lines. This could be corrected with an HA filler like Juvederm or Restylane. However I would recommend treatment of your cheek complex before worrying about your nasolabial folds. In essence, the nasolabial folds (NLF) are the symptom, not the disease. As you lose volume in the cheeks, this allows the tissue to hang down and worsens the appearance of the NLF. By volumizing the cheek we can rejuvenate the face and soften the NLF without actually using any product there. I would probably recommend abthicker product like Voluma for the cheek and a product like Restylane to feather in the tear trough area.An experienced injector can show you before and after photographs to demonstrate these concepts and give you a better idea of what you can expect. Best wishes, MKB

Answer: Options for Pronounce Nasolabial Lines Everybody is different. Some people have more prominent nasolabial or melolabial lines. These are the lines between the cheeks and the lips. Some causes may be genetic, dynamic (muscle movement) or aging (hardly at age 23).There are some very good options available such as hyaluronic fillers, like Restylane or Juvederm. Consult with a physician that performs a lot of work with dermal fillers and discuss your concerns. Good luck.
