Bruising after any surgery can last seven weeks or longer. Some patients experience more bruising than others for a variety of reasons. There are medications, such as arnica , that can help speed the resolution of the bruising. From your photo, i would be concerned about a problem called post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This is a problem of darking of the skin that can occur after surgery, and is best treated as early as possible. Have your surgeon evaluate you at your earliest convience.
