Is it possible to get fat removed from feet?

Question

I have very broad/wide feet. Because of this, I am not able to wear many shoes comfortably. When I do wear shoes such as flats and sandals, my feet protrude out the side of the flats which looks very disgusting. I am limited to wearing only closed shoes and I want to make a change because I am getting tired of not being able to change my looks and look "sexy" because of the choice of shoes. Is it possible to get any surgery done to decrease the width of my feet? Or crush a couple bones to make it smaller?

this is not safe to have fat removed from feet. there are a lot of blood vessels and nerves in the feet. this is something that you should consult your doctor on.

Feet have nerves, vessels, and tendons packed into a relatively small space.  I would not recommend liposuction in that area.  Too risky

Thank you for your question.  I have seen situations where patients have abnormal fat pockets on the top of the feet which can be liposuction.  I am not aware of any procedures that are currently done to narrow the foot.  You may want to discuss your concerns with a podiatrist. Best wishes.

Making any changes to the bones of your feet can have a major change in the way you walk, which can affect your knees and hips. Removing fat from your foot can also increase the chance of feeling like you are walking on bone. This can lead to debilitating pain, and ultimately depression and weight gain. Overall...just sounds like a bad idea!

I do not know of any described, let alone proven, aesthetic procedure to narrow the foot.There isn't usually any superfluous or expendable material down there.It is not something I would consider doing.That isn't to say you couldn't find an adventurous plastic surgeon or podiatrist or foot specialist orthopedic surgeon who might listen, and go down this road with you.Please be careful, however, who you pick, and consider carefully the cost of having a complication on your feet.Be well.-drB
