What is this growth inside my nostril? (photo)

I have a growth inside my nostril. It is red. It's been there for a couple of months. When I used to scratch it it would bleed for a long time and then stop. The growth has since gotten bigger. What is it and how can I get rid of it?

Hello, Looks like one of a few things, a Pyogenic Granuloma (benign but should be treated) a vascular malformation (again benign). However anytime you see a growth you should see a physician. The odds are it is nothing worrysome, however only a real in person examination can prove this.

It is likely to be some sort of vascular growth, I would recommend seeing a plastic surgeon in your area to remove the mass.  Pathology examination may be needed to get a final diagnosis.

It sounds like this is a very vascular lesion that is likely benign. Either way, you should seek consultation with a plastic surgeon or ENT and have it removed so that you can be sure of the diagnosis and be rid of this problem once and for all.
