Im in the market for a lip lift. However I know that doing so will make my nose tip appear longer than it already is. I would like it to be shortened just a bit - without elevating it all or making me look like a pig or pinched. Must b subtle. How can I ensure that the surgeon does not elevate it at all? Is it possible to slightly shorten my nose tip in a very subtle procedure without elevating its angle at all?? Thank you in advance. Any information you could provide would be extremely helpful.
Answer: Lip lift The so called lip lift is a useless operation. I wouldn't even waste my money. There, problem solved.

Answer: Is it possible to slightly shorten the nose tip without elevating my nostrils at all? The nose can be conservatively shorted through a closed or open technique.Following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do based on limited 2 dimensional photos without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon with extensive nasal surgery experience who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) or a facial plastic surgeon (ENT) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: Columellar hang As most of the other surgeons have pointed out, we would need to see side views. However you can't just trim the columella willy nilly. The lower lateral cartilages are part of a structure that swings down over the septum in some patients, leaving a drooping columella. It's best to elevate the entire structure, rather than just chop off the bottom of it. Most surgeons would do this with an open rhinoplasty. The relationship of the nostrils to the nasal tip is a delicate one, and you already have a pretty nose.So before you go forward, make sure you know what you are doing.
