Can I go on the HCG diet 2 weeks after breast lift & implant surgery?

I'm getting a breast life and implant and can't exercise for the following 6 weeks. I was wondering if there are any health concerns with going on the HCG diet 2-3 weeks after my surgery and staying on it for 3-4 weeks.

Thank you for your question.  In my practice I educate and coach my patients to limit changes in lifestyle in the perioperative period if possible.  It is best to not make drastic changes in your diet as your body is in the middle of healing and will be dealing with enough with recovery alone.  If a person desires to change diet then do so and ideally be at a steady state before having surgery.  Please discuss this with your surgeon as all physicians have different approaches.  Good luck.

In your immediate post operative period your body will need extra nutrition to heal effectively.  I typically recommend my patients eat healthy but especially try and load up on protein and vitamin C immediately after surgery.  Most of the HCG diets I have reviewed involve extreme caloric restriction which I do NOT recommend.  Speak with itch your surgeon regarding their specific recommendations I hope this helps

I always would recommend to eat healthy and very well before surgery and for your whole llife, it is very important for your body, but this is a question you have to ask to your board certified plastic surgeon, every surgeon has its manners.
