Is bipolar electrocautery the standard practice of achieving hemostasis in lip lift surgery? Where is the proper placement of the bipolar electrocautery device during the lip lift surgery? Can the nasal base be damaged with the use of bipolar electrocautery in lip lift surgery?

I think you can get a lip lift designed to roll the lip out more rather than just lift. I'd augment the lip at the same time. We do this as an office procedure.

Ask your surgeon what they use, but many surgeons (myself included) use an insurance plan for complications from cosmetic procedures specifically, to help prevent patients from getting stuck with a bill in case something comes up.
