Surgery after EBV-diagnosis?

Your surgeon will evaluate and decide if you are medically stable for surgery. A related example of concern would be an often associated low platelet count which could promote bleeding. I would suggest asking your medical doctor if you are cleared to have surgery now or need to wait. Surgery is a stress and stress can increase your symptoms and take longer to heal.

This question needs to be answered by your surgeon and anesthesiologist. I encourage you to contact them as soon as it's convenient to discuss your situation. Labs may be needed closer to your surgery date as well. The fact that your surgery is nearly two months away will be helpful.
