It is not possible to provide an accurate answer to your question without more information. There could be many reasons for your asymmetry. You stated that you had very asymmetrical breasts prior to surgery. Sometimes this is not completely correctable. Another possibility is the development of a capsular contracture which can displace the implant toward the clavicle. It could also be related to the different size implants or positioning during surgery. To answer your question would require pre op photos and a physical examination. The best place to start is by returning to your surgeon. If you have further questions, you can also seek a second opinion with another board-certified plastic surgeon.

You probably have developed a capsule that is holding the implant higher. You can try oral Accolate and external ultrasound treatments, or surgery to release the pocket.

To make an assessment regarding the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we always need to see proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures to ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. When addressing asymmetry after breast surgery, we need to know if you had asymmetry before the procedure. Most likely you did since all women have some degree of breast asymmetry. Most women’s (men and women) left breast sits higher on the chest wall than the right but this can vary on some individuals.
Sometimes implants will drop down appropriately unevenly on both sides, and sometimes a minor revisions may be indicated.
Follow up with your plastic surgeon and have him or her address your concerns.
