Please follow-up with your treating provide to make sure you're following his/ her post-peel instructions. Most medium and deep-peels are treated with a gentle emollient (eg, Aquaphor, Vaseline, silicone preparations) although care differs widely among peeling practitioners. The pink, peeled skin is very sensitive--much like the skin of a newborn. I'm afraid vitamin E oil may irritate this (among many other potential irritants); likewise, some scar studies suggest vitamin E can make healing things more red for a longer period of time. Oral Benadryl can be very helpful for the stinging and itching sensations; keep in mind that it may make you sleepy, though. As a final and important point, please keep your fingers off the peeled skin--this means absolutely to picking, scratching, or peeling of the tissues. Unless you're cleaning your face or applying a gentle emollient, your hands should be away; picking and peeling significantly increases your risk of infection and scarring.
