Thank you for your question.There is not an age limit but you may need parental consent prior to getting IPL treatments. To be sure what treatment is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment.I hope this helps.

In my opinion, freckles can be treated in adolescents.  You options are IPL and lasers. In my experience the freckles will eventually return with extensive sun exposure.Seek an experienced doctor who will show you photos.Good luck?
