How old do you have to be to get IPL for freckles?

I am 16 years old, almost 17 and I have freckles all over my face. I don't like how they look and i want them removed, is there any age limit on IPL for freckles?

You are old enough to have IPL for freckling, but depending on your state laws you may need parental permission to proceed.

To be sure what treatment is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment.I hope this helps.

In my opinion, freckles can be treated in adolescents.  You options are IPL and lasers. In my experience the freckles will eventually return with extensive sun exposure.Seek an experienced doctor who will show you photos.Good luck?
