Ultherapy was recommended for under my chin for skin tightening (that is loose skin hanging) will it work? (photos)

I saw a board certified plastic surgeon and she recommended Ultherapy for a non-invasive procedure to tighten the loose skin under my chin after losing weight. Do you think this procedure will work? There is not fat it is just loose skin -she felt the area. I am 43 years old and desperate for a solution.

Ultherapy is a non-invasive procedure that lifts the neck, chin and brow, and improves lines and wrinkles on the upper chest. As we age, collagen breaks down, resulting in loss of skin strength and elasticity. For tissue tightening, Ultherapy is ideal for the lower face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Morpheus8 to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity.

Ultherapy is an excellent nonsurgical skin tightening procedure that can effectively tighten the skin around the jawline and neck. This treatment delivers ultrasound energy deep into the connective tissue, where it produces gentle heating to stimulate the body to produce more collagen. As collagen levels increase in the dermal structure, the skin becomes smoother and firmer. All skin tightening devices will give good improvement, yet it will not be 100% tight. Often a combination treatment with fillers to the jawline and chin or a thread lift combined with Ulthera will give even better results. This procedure should only be performed by an experienced, board-certified dermatologist who can ensure the treatment is both safe and successful.

Ultherapy is an excellent treatment for firming up support structures. Appropriate candidates should have adequate elasticity so that the superficial skin "follows" the new contour created in the deeper layers by the ultrasound.

1. micro needling and lasers for texture
