Can someone with type 2 diabetes get cosmetic surgery?

best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  If your diabetes is well managed and you are able to obtain medical clearance from your primary physician, then you may be a candidate for these procedures.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who
can evaluate you in person.

Cosmetic surgery can be performed safely in the presence of Diabetes, however factors such as your general health, weight and  blood glucose control will all contribute to how well you heal.
Discuss in detail with a Board certified Plastic Surgeon who can enquire more specifically into your current health.  Your diabetes will need to be optimized during the surgical period and I recommend  involving the physician who helps you manage your diabetes in your care.
