It is possible that Botox could improve the appearance of the scar between your eyebrows, but I think a filler to the area would give additional improvement. An examination of you would be helpful to know if a scar revision might bring improvement as well.
It's difficult to determine the best solution for you without the benefit of a formal evaluation. Generally speaking, scars can be improved with a combination of surgery and/or lasers and microneedling with PRP. Below is a more detailed reference list of the treatments available. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a scarring expert to determine which is best for your specific case. Options can include:1. Vascular lasers (BBL, Yellow laser, V-Beam, Excel V) 2. Fractional lasers (Fraxel, Erbium, CO2, Halo) 3. Microneedling/PRP 4. Silicone-based scar gels with growth factors 5. Excision/revision surgery See an expert to develop a treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question and photos. Botox Cosmetic is an ideal solution for treating dynamic wrinkles in the forehead and between the eyebrows, but is unlikely to produce any improvement in your scar. You may benefit from Profound RF microneedling treatment to increase the body’s natural collagen production and reduce the appearance of your scar. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can assess your situation and suggest the best treatment option for you.
Hello and thank you for your question. The answer is Yes. Botox will help to soften the appearance of your scar but it will not eliminate your scar completely. Botox is a treatment you will need to repeat every 4-5 months. Make sure to choose a board-certified doctor for your treatment. Have a great day.
Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photos. Botox would improve the appearance of the scar and lines between the eyebrows but not fully correct the issue. You might need fillers injected or laser skin resurfacing after the placement of Botox. See an experienced Oculoplastic Surgeon for comprehensive evaluation and guidance. Good luck!
Combining Botox and filler would very likely produce a gratifying improvement in this area. The filler would elevate and smooth the vertical indentations and the Botox would quiet the muscular hyperactivity in this region so well-known for giving rise to etched-in, "eleven lines" creases, which are contributing to worsening the appearance of the scars. Additionally, subcision could be performed to effect a more permanent elevation and smoothing of the scars. You will need to do your due diligence to find a board certified cosmetic dermatologist who has experience performing subcisions and injecting fillers, particularly in this region that is requires particular expertise for maximum safety. Hope this helps and best of luck.
Botox would be best here if the deep 11 lines were only due to facial muscle movement (i.e. frowning). However if the deep lines are due to a scar that is visible even the muscles are relaxed, then Botox may be an option but it would likely need to be supplemented with something that addresses the skin composition of the scar itself.A possible treatment course would be:1- Botox to help reduce deepening of those 11 lines when you frownand2- Laser treatments or Microneedling treatments to reduce the appearance of the scar itself and even out the skin surface.Another additional treatment option would be scar subcision by an experienced practitioner, which would help to reduce the appearance of the scar as well.A more detailed in-person evaluation of the scar would be needed to determine the right treatment course for you.Hope this helps!
Hi, thank you for your question! I would start by performing scar tissue release in the area with a cannula technique. The next option would be steroid injections to help break up the scar tissue in the area. After these two approaches I would recommend starting with collagen building procedures such as PRF (platelet rich fibrin) and microneedling. Filler can also be used to help fill in this area directly. I would recommend having an in person consultation with a certified injector.
Hi there, botox may help - as it will prevent your brow muscles from contracting so the scar becomes slightly less visible. However, the scar appears slightly deep, so even with relaxing the muscles completely you will see the scar. Filler may help slightly but this is a high risk area for vascular complications. Another thing you could potentially consider is excising the old scar and replacing it with a finer scar (and not so deep of a scar). Hope this helps.
Botox may help to soften the appearance of. your scar by reducing the muscle activity around it but it will not resolve the scar completely. See an expert injector near you for treatment.
Hello! Dr. Joseph here from Beverly Hills, CA! Typically to perform a "browlift" with any neurotoxin/Botox, the Orbicularis Oculi muscle in the lateral brow area/lateral canthus of the eye can be injected, which decreases the brow-lowering action of the Orbicularis, and therefore the Botox...
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
Hi @peachtoadstool06! The average is 3-4 months of effect, but some individuals do metabolize it quicker. Often those who work out consistently. I don't see any problem with you returning after two months. I would recommend additional units at your follow up visit. All the best!
