Answer: Nasal trauma and possible broken nose Its important to make a consultation with an ENT/ facial plastic surgeon to examine the internal and external portion of the nose and to document any nasal fractures with an x-ray. For many examples of nasal fracture repair, please see the link below

Answer: Nose trauma - #nosesurgery #rhinoplasty You may have damage from your nose trauma versus just seeing an asymmetry that was already there. Really, you would be surprise what is there and never noticed before until you carefully examine a body part. If it is indeed new, it is reasonable to make contact with a Plastic Surgeon for an evaluation and to establish for insurance reasons that the deformity is related to trauma. Unless the there is a gross deformity, most surgeons will want to wait 6 months or more before considering a surgery.

Answer: Nasal injury It sounds as though you may have fractured your nasal bones and/or your nasal septum, which is the thing that separates your nose into right and left sides. Other signs of a fracture include difficulty breathing out of one or both sides and bleeding at the time of the injury. While many doctors feel that a "closed" reduction (simply realigning the fractured pieces) is best for repair, I feel that an "open" reduction (rhinoplasty) is the best way to properly realign the fractured segments and open your airway once more -- even very soon following the injury. Having said all that, it may just be residual soft tissue swelling from your injury. I would make an appointment with an otolaryngologist, facial plastic surgeon, or plastic surgeon to determine exactly what's going on. I wish you well!

Answer: I got hit on the nose last week and it hurts. One side of my nose is bigger then the other side. What should I do? I'm sorry to hear of your difficulty. I would suggest that you visit your primary care physician or possibly a plastic surgeon to see if you have a fracture of the nose. The sides is swollen may be an everted bone fragment secondary to a fracture. If you do have a fracture it can be realigned if done within the first 8-10 days. Otherwise a rhinoplasty may be necessary at a later date. For more information please read the following link:
